CEO Message

At NRG, we work hard to produce and deliver electricity reliably and safely to homes and businesses across the country. Yet our responsibility doesn’t stop there. We want to position NRG as the leader of the new energy economy, generating and distributing innovative clean-power solutions for the benefit of our environment and that of our children and future generations.

NRG is creating value by expanding our portfolio of renewable energy assets from wind, solar, biomass and nuclear power, as we retrofit our existing fossil-fuel plants to operate more cleanly and efficiently. Our newest initiative is to partner in the introduction of electric vehicles and related support systems to the mass market, taking the benefits of clean power from the grid to the American highway.

All the while we remain committed to our historic focus on the safety and development of our employees as well as the communities we serve, conducting our business in a manner that supports social, environmental and economic well-being. This relationship can be seen in the three focus areas that undergird our corporate philosophy of responsibility. These focus areas guide the way we do business and work as a team.
