Dramiga was reported missing on Sunday, September 22, 2024, after failing to return from her routine morning walk. Her car was later found locked several miles away near Covington Park, suggesting a deviation from her normal routine. Using a family iPad, authorities were able to locate her near the Salado Creek Greenway trail.

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, 38-year-old Marco Flores was arrested near the crime scene.
